The annual Bremen Award for Video Art supports the production and presentation of two video art projects. Only yet unrealized concepts for audio-visual work can be submitted.
Awards:1st Prize: 4.000 EUR/ 2nd Prize: 1.000 EUR

The award shall be used for the realization of the artistic concepts. The selected work will first be exhibited in Bremen. The Filmbüro is organizing an exhibition of the winners in the fall of 2010 at  the Neues Museum Weserburg, the Städtische Galerie or the Gesellschaft für Aktuelle Kunst.Video artists in the German-speaking countries (Germany, Switzerland, Austria) as well as from Bremen‘s twin cities (Bratislava, Cherbourg-Octeville, Corinto, Dalian, Frederikshavn, Gdansk, Grimsby, Haifa, Izmir, Kaliningrad, Pori, Riga and Szczecin) are invited to apply. The jury will award one of the two prizes to an applicant from Bremen, Bremerhaven or their twin cities.

Applications must be submitted in German or English. Each participant may submit only one concept. The prizes will be awarded by an independent jury.

Hors Piste Japon at L'Institute Tokyo

According to moving image festival in Centre Pompidou,"Hors Piste",
Japanese experimentarl film and video screening and talk symposium will be held at L'Institute Tokyo in iidabashi. Event called as "Hors Piste Japon" includes 14 japanese artists pieces and symposium "Looking at Media/ Media on Looking". And "Visual Philosophy" modurated by Masayuki Kawai.

Many of VCTokyo's artists Shuhei Nishiyama, Kentaro Taki, Katsuyuki Hattori, M.Kawai and Taka iimura will take partin this event. Don't miss it!
